In other news, Slimcase has declared that Afrobeats is losing its appeal, and he has decided to jump ship before it sinks.

The Nigerian rapper recently took to social media to suggest that the genre is declining, claiming that the influence and star power of some of its biggest names are gradually weakening.

He also blamed what he described as the "see finish" attitude among fans, suggesting that constant exposure to celebrities has made people less excited about them.

He ended his post with a warning that the situation could get worse, writing,

"Doom is around the corner. Doom is coming for us all."

But he did not stop there. Sources say Slimcase has announced that he is switching to rap full-time, telling his followers,

"Afrobeats is done. I am going back to my roots. Rap is the future."

Slimcase has reportedly started recording a rap album. Sources say he has already booked studio time and has been writing bars about the state of the industry. One track reportedly includes the line, "Afrobeats fell off, so I switched the genre / Slimcase is back, and I am bringing the thunder." He has not announced a release date yet, but his friends say he has been practising his flow every morning.
