In other news, Doris Ogala has been granted bail by the Federal High Court in Lagos, and her fundraising strategy is already raising eyebrows.

As part of the bail conditions, she was ordered to provide two sureties, one of whom must either own a property in Lagos State with verifiable evidence of registration at the Land Registry, or be a prominent national officer of her political party or a person of repute.

The judge further ordered Ogala to surrender her international passport to the court registrar and restrained her from making electronic publications capable of intimidating or harassing any of the prosecution witnesses.

Earlier, when the case was called, Ogala was absent, but her lawyer informed the court that she was receiving treatment at General Hospital in Ajegunle following a gynaecological surgery, which has resulted in bleeding.

Ogala has reportedly asked fans to donate the ₦30 million and promised to pay them back after the 2027 election. Sources say she posted a message on her Instagram story that read, "Dear supporters, as you know, I am contesting for governor in 2027. Right now, I need ₦30 million for bail. Please donate what you can. I promise to pay you back double when I win." Her friends say she has already raised ₦2 million and is confident about hitting the target. One donor reportedly commented, "Madam, just win first. We will discuss the refund later."
