In other news, Kate Henshaw has taken her fight against Nigeria's electricity crisis to the courts, and she is not holding back.
The actress recently filed a suit against the Minister of Power, Joseph Tegbe, over the ongoing power challenges in the country, questioning why Nigerians are still dealing with blackouts in 2026.
In a video shared online before the suit was filed, she said,
"Mr. Minister of Power, no light. There is no light. There's hardly been light. You will bring it maybe five minutes and then it's gone. I need the names and numbers of these people that called you. They said you should turn off the lights, or you should slow down or whatever it is you imagine they told you. There's hardly electricity in 2026."

She expressed her frustration with the situation, saying,
"We are still talking about electricity. Slow down what? We are meant to have electricity this 2026. I'm just so angry. What are people really doing there and what's up with the lies? God will judge all of you. God will judge you people."
She added,
"I was telling someone, we need free pass to heaven. When we die and go, God will say, I am from Nigeria. Go and get massage, get food, let someone just take care of you because you are coming from me, Lord."
The controversy stems from a September 2026 remark by Minister Tegbe, who claimed that some Nigerians had asked him to "slow down" because their freezers were freezing too much due to improved electricity supply.

Kate Henshaw has reportedly hired a team of lawyers and is demanding ₦500 million in damages. Sources say she has also asked the court to compel the Minister to release the names and numbers of the people who allegedly told him to turn off the power. The Minister has not responded to the suit, but his aides say he is "reviewing the documents." Kate has reportedly been telling friends, "If I win this case, I will use the money to buy a generator for every Nigerian."
