In other news, wonders shall never end. Mayowa sued Roby Ekpo. Now Roby is suing back. A clear case of when the suee sues the suer.
Listen. I need you to sit down for this one. Get water. Maybe a biscuit. You will need energy. If you haven't watched the podcast where Roby Ekpo shared about his ex-wife Mayowa, then my advice is that you do not watch it. Here is the important and latest gist.
Roby Ekpo, a media personality and podcaster, currently the most talked-about man in Nigeria who is not a president, is in the middle of a situation so layered that I had to draw a diagram to understand it.
Here is the original story. His wife, Mayowa Lambe, filed a âŠ100 million lawsuit against him over claims he made on a podcast. One hundred million naira. For podcast claims.
(sips tea like Taymesan)
I just want to note that my podcast has been running for years, and nobody has offered me âŠ100 million for anything I have said. Not even as a fine. I feel completely unseen.
But back to Roby.

Roby rejected the lawsuit. Said he would fight it. Said he had evidence. Said a lot of things in what appeared to be a very calm voice for a man whose wife wants âŠ100 million from him.
Now here is what the blogs did not cover.
Our sources, the same man from Third Mainland Bridge, he was still there, same spot, same confidence, have confirmed that Roby Ekpo has filed a counter-lawsuit. Not against the claims. Not to dispute the amount. He is suing her for the emotional damage caused by finding out she was suing him.
(Opens mouth like Lasisi Elenu)

His lawyer, in documents we have absolutely seen, described the moment Roby learned about the lawsuit as "a wound upon a wound" and is seeking âŠ150 million in damages for distress, confusion, and the cost of therapy sessions he has had to begin in order to process the distress and confusion.
The case is expected to continue for eleven years. By the time it is resolved, both of them will have released podcasts, music videos, and a Netflix series about it.

Edgar doesn't lie.
Source: The man on Third Mainland Bridge. He had moved to the other side of the bridge, but his confidence remained exactly the same.
If you think this lawsuit situation is a lot, wait until you read about Portable, who was given âŠ20 million for a specific job and spent it on something completely different. At least Roby is spending his money on lawyers. Read it here: Portable Has Already Spent Burna Boy's âŠ20 Million. You Won't Believe What He Did With It.
And if all of this is convincing you that relationships are not worth it, I have a podcast about exactly that. Why Am I Still Single? Available right here on checkedgar.com.
Edgar doesn't lie.
