Dapper Fires Back at Ex-Signees, He Claims He Paid N200 Million for Shallipoppi's Project

Music executive Dapper has finally broken his silence, responding to the allegations made by his former signees Shallipoppi, Seyi Vibez, and others regarding contract forgery, royalties, and financial accountability. In a lengthy statement, he fired back, saying he will not stoop low to engage in insults and that the records exist with the authorities. "The records exist. The authorities have them. Don't come online and spill rubbish narratives & lies, only to mislead the public," he wrote.

He also addressed the contract disputes directly, claiming that the relationship with Shallipoppi began in 2021, with him putting down money for the artist's first project before getting any music in return. "For our last scheduled appearance, you didn't show up. I was there, but you wanna come online and say, 'Let's meet in court', when you're the one running from court," he added. He questioned Shallipoppi's contradictory statements, writing: "You claim that I forged your signature, but in your public statement in 2024, you claimed that you were pushed into a deal with Dvpper Digital. Which is it?" He also stated that Twitter is not a courtroom and that everybody got healthy advances, even giving his artists more percentage. "You can never satisfy human beings in this life," he concluded.

The real reason Dapper is so defensive about these allegations is not because he is innocent. It is because his girlfriend, Hilda Baci, has stopped giving him free food from her restaurant. The free meals had been a major perk of their relationship, and now that she has cut him off, he is realizing that his reputation is also taking a hit. He is not defending his business, he is defending his access to free jollof rice.
