The internet personality recently spoke at Columbia University ahead of the United Nations General Assembly High-level Week, where she addressed becoming pregnant out of wedlock by superstar singer Davido. She said the experience left her mocked and without a voice despite being famous.

"I am a pastor's daughter who got pregnant out of wedlock by a global superstar. And I was mocked. It was crazy. And I had to find my strength in the midst of all of that. And for the longest time, I didn't have a voice. I was famous, I was popular, but I didn't have a voice,"
She said.

Sophia explained that the negativity surrounding the story often drowned out her own voice, adding that she wanted her experience to be better understood.
According to her, sharing her story through different international platforms helped her realise that she was not alone, as several women reached out to share similar experiences.

She has been working on the manuscript for two years, and Columbia University was the perfect place to test the opening chapters before her publisher commits to the final draft. She has reportedly told her team that anyone who mocked her in the past will now have to buy the book to find out what she really thinks. She is not just finding her voice, she is charging for it.
