The Nollywood actress and African Action Congress governorship candidate for Abia State was arraigned before Justice Akintayo Aluko of the Federal High Court in Ikoyi, Lagos, on three counts bordering on cyberbullying, cyberstalking, and attempted extortion involving Pastor Chris Okafor. She pleaded not guilty to the charges.

The prosecution alleged that between September 2024 and March 2026, Ogala published nude and intimate photographs of Pastor Okafor without his consent, and transmitted electronic communications with intent to extort property, threatening to continue publishing menacing material unless he compensated her or bought her a house.

Justice Aluko ordered her remand pending the hearing of her bail application, which was adjourned until October 30. Comedian DeeOne confirmed the development, saying she would remain in custody until a date is fixed for her bail hearing.
Pastor Chris Okafor has reportedly been asked to include Doris Ogala in his next prayer session. Sources say a group of church members approached him after the remand and suggested that praying for her might resolve the matter faster than the court case. The pastor has not responded to the request, but his aides say he has been "considering it." Ogala has reportedly heard about the prayer request and is not amused.
