In other news, Daniel Etim Effiong has decided to give his critics a lesson in theology and workplace ethics, and it is not what anyone expected.
Speaking on Sound Mind with Tolu Afilaka, he argued that the morality of an action depends on the condition and intention of the person carrying it out. He made a rather unusual comparison, asking,
"Would you ask this same question to a gynecologist? Do you know who a gynecologist is? A gynecologist is a doctor, a medical doctor that saves lives and works with women and looks at the female genitals every day in his life, at work."
(yimu like Bolaji Ogunmola)
Referencing the Bible, he added,
"A good man, out of the good things of his heart, bringeth forth good things."
He explained that
"it's not what goes into a man that destroys him morally. It is what comes out of him."
According to him,
"there's a condition of your heart that qualifies what you do, that puts what you do in perspective, that judges what you do."
He also noted that
"by mere looking at someone, you can do evil. Yes. Much more evil than kissing someone."
He concluded by stressing that the condition of a man's heart is what makes an action good or evil, not what people see on the outside.
(shakes head like Bimbo Ademoye)
But here is what the blogs did not tell you.
The real reason Daniel Etim Effiong is so passionate about defending his kissing roles is not because he is deep in theological study. It is because his wife recently told him that she has not enjoyed a kiss from him since 2021, and she is tired of watching him save all his passion for the cameras. He booked the podcast interview hoping she would hear his "heart condition" argument and finally understand that his on-screen kisses mean nothing. She watched the interview and texted him one word: "Noted." He is not defending his profession, he is sleeping on the couch.
