Deeone Asked the Question Nobody Wanted to Answer: Where Was Davido?

In other news, Soso Soberekon’s Warri wedding had private jets, luxury cars, and stars galore, except Davido, who went totally MIA without even a story post. Deeone publicly called out OBO for ghosting his pal's big day, proving silent drama is always the loudest guest at the party.

Deeone Asked the Question Nobody Wanted to Answer: Where Was Davido?

In other news, the wedding was a who's who of the Nigerian entertainment industry. Timi Dakolo performed Iyawo Mi. 2Baba serenaded the couple with African Queen. Guests arrived in chartered private jets and pulled up in a Rolls-Royce Spectre reportedly worth billions of naira. Ini Edo, Iyabo Ojo, Toke Makinwa, Mercy Eke, Zlatan, E-Money, and even Peller were all there.

( dancing like Jarvis )

But one person was conspicuously absent. Davido.

The singer, who has been friends and business partners with Soso Soberekon for years, did not attend the Warri wedding. He didn't even post a congratulatory message on social media. And Deeone noticed.

Soso's wedding was not just a celebration; it was a full-blown production. The music executive, who has spent years building relationships across Nigeria's entertainment circles, clearly expected his famous friends to show up. And most of them did.

But Davido? Missing. No Instagram post. No story. No "congratulations my brother." Nothing.

Deeone found this unacceptable. The comedian dragged the singer publicly, questioning why someone so close to the groom would not even acknowledge such a milestone.

( giving side eyes like Burna Boy )

But here is what the blogs did not tell you.

Davido's absence might not be as random as it seems. Sources close to the singer have leaked that there has been tension between him and Soso for months. The details are murky, but word is that the two had a falling out over something business-related. Soso, who once called Davido the most influential brand in Africa and personally introduced him to new talents, has allegedly been keeping his distance.

Meanwhile, the internet is divided. Some are saying Deeone should mind his business. Others are asking where the loyalty went. And a few are simply wondering how Soso felt when he looked around his

wedding and realised his supposed brother was not there .

(Sucks teeth like Patience Ozokwo hearing a wedding without a best man who is supposed to be there)

The real tea is not about the wedding or the missing post. It is that Deeone just publicly called out one of the biggest artists in Africa for ghosting his friend's wedding. And Davido has not responded. In 2026, that silence is louder than any explanation.

Edgar doesn't lie.

Source: Soso Soberekon's event planner, Mrs Joy Andre, who looked forward to seeing Davido at the wedding, but she was disappointed.

Burna Boy cut off Shatta Wale over a rumour about his girlfriend, despite everything Shatta did for him. Read here: Shatta Wale Treated Burna Boy Like a King. Then a Rumour Ended Everything. At least that drama had a clear reason. This one is just a ghosting. Listen to my podcast. Why Am I Still Single? Available right here on checkedgar.com.
