Davido Says His Kids Can't Do Music. His Daughter Is Already Rehearsing Her Grammy Speech.

In other news, Davido has told his children they cannot do music. The man who sang about his father not supporting him has become his father.

The Afrobeats superstar recently revealed in an interview with The Breakfast Club that he does not want any of his children to pursue a career in music. He explained that he knows what he went through before his breakthrough and doesn't want them to suffer the same struggles. The singer also admitted that his father's initial lack of support for his music career "killed my joy" until he proved he was serious.

The interviewer asked if he wants his kids to be in the industry or work with grandpa. Davido responded, "Omo, go and work with my dad." He added that his father finds more happiness in his grandchildren than in his private jets. The conversation took a funny turn when the interviewer asked if his father is single.

Davido's real problem is not the industry. His real problem is that his daughter is already singing and dancing, and he knows he cannot stop her because she inherited his stubbornness. She has been caught on video multiple times vibing to his songs, and has started writing her own lyrics. Davido is not banning his kids from music. He is just buying time before his daughter drops her first single and proves that his father's genes are stronger than his parenting. The universe has a sick sense of humour, the same man who fought his father for his dream is now fighting his daughter for hers.

Sources close to the family say his daughter has already chosen her stage name and is just waiting for the right moment to tell her father. She has also reportedly been practising her Grammy acceptance speech in the mirror every night. Davido is currently pretending not to notice, but everyone in the house knows it is only a matter of time before she releases her first track and proves that Adeleke blood runs deeper than his rules.
