In other news, Annie Idibia has done what every woman does after a breakup: made a permanent decision she will explain later.

The actress recently covered the "Idibia" tattoo on her shoulder with a butterfly design. The transformation comes over a year after the couple announced the end of their nearly 12-year marriage in January 2025. Annie hasn't explained the meaning, but fans are already calling it healing, growth, and moving forward.

The tattoo reveal comes weeks after an old video of Annie and 2Baba dancing together resurfaced online. Both parties debunked the reunion rumours, and 2Baba has since married Edo State politician Natasha Osawaru.

But here is what the blogs did not tell you.

The butterfly is not just any butterfly. It is male. Annie specifically requested the artist to make it a male butterfly because she wants to spend the rest of her life stepping on it. She has already named it "Innocent", the same name as her ex-husband and has reportedly been wearing sleeveless tops just to flick the tattoo whenever someone mentions his name.

The butterfly has been sitting on her shoulder for months, and every time she looks at it, she remembers that she is no longer Annie Idibia, she is Annie Macaulay, back to her original surname and back to her original peace. The artist who did the work said she kept muttering, "He wanted a butterfly? He will get one", but no one asked what that meant.

(looks away like Funke Akindele, remembering a client she was never supposed to mention)

Edgar doesn't lie.
