Chioma Holds the Keys to Davido’s Wallet, And He Is Not Mad About It

In other news, Davido admits he can't be trusted with money. Blocked from sending $4k on a private jet, he called his wife Chioma—the actual CFO who controls his $300k monthly spend. Davido may own the jet, but Chioma holds the keys to the kingdom.

Chioma Holds the Keys to Davido’s Wallet, And He Is Not Mad About It

Chioma Holds the Keys to Davido’s Wallet, And He Is Not Mad About It

In other news, Davido is out here letting the world know who really runs things in his house. And it is not him.

During a recent live session with streamer Davrel, the singer was walking towards a private jet with his crew when he ran into a small problem. He needed to send $4,000 (about ₦6.5 million) to his associate Lati but could not log into his account. So he did what any reasonable man in his position would do, he called his wife.

(yimu like Toke Makinwa)

"Hello, hello baby, good morning my wife, my love. Help me send Lati $4,000. I can't login, I don't know why, it's the service here," he said over the phone.

Davrel asked the question everyone was thinking: "So your wife has been managing the money?".

Davido did not even hesitate. He laughed and said, "Of course, you know I'm a reckless spender. Na she dey arrange everything. Na my life coordinator be that".

The man who spends between $200,000 and $300,000 every month on just his personal expenses has handed over the keys to his kingdom to Chioma .

(Laughs like Pete Edochie watching a billionaire admit he cannot be trusted with his own money).

But here is what the blogs did not tell you.

That $4,000 transfer was just the tip of the iceberg. Sources close to the couple have revealed that Chioma does not just manage day-to-day transactions. She oversees everything. Every splurge. Every investment. Every random gift Davido decides to buy on a Tuesday afternoon. The man once casually mentioned he spends millions on luxury cars and jewellery, and all of that now goes through Chioma.

Meanwhile, Davido has been using this live session to spill all kinds of tea. He told Davrel about how he and Chioma took their first trip to Dubai, and how Barbados in 2016 remains one of their best memories. The same session also featured Wizkid's song playing in his private jet, which the internet interpreted as a sign that the long-standing feud might finally be dead.

(Dancing like Israel in a white robe)

The real gist is not about the money. It is that one of Africa's biggest music stars, a man who has sold out arenas and owns private jets, looked at a streamer and said "my wife handles everything" with a straight face and zero shame. In an industry where men are expected to be in control, Davido is out here proudly declaring that Chioma is the real boss. And honestly? That is the most secure thing a man can say.

Edgar doesn't lie.

The Ice Cream That Melted Into a Full-Blown War

In other news, Nigeria’s top food critic built a career shaming everyone else's table manners, only to get publicly roasted for violently double-dipping a tub of ice cream. When the critique eventually turned back on him, the dish proved far too hot to handle. Glass houses, meet massive tablespoons.

FIFA Strips Spain of World Cup Title, Argentina Declared World Champion

In other news, FIFA yanked Spain’s trophy over an illegal dance and an 11-second VAR power-cut, handing Argentina a win with zero shots on target. Spain is so desperate they’re consulting a comedian for legal counsel, while Messi’s housekeeper begrudgingly puts the trophy shelf back up. Pure comedy!

Spain Are World Champions, And Argentina Are Still Crying

Argentina spent more time booking victory DJs than taking shots on target (zero), allowing Ferran Torres to snatch the 2026 World Cup for Spain in extra time. Turns out, planning a victory parade doesn't count as playing actual football. At least Enzo gets his DJ deposit back!
