Brain Jotter Lost Over ₦60 Million in Real Estate, He Just Opened a GoFundMe to Recover His "Refund."
In Other news, Brain Jotter has joined the long list of Nigerians who trusted a company with their savings and learned the hard way.

The skitmaker recently recounted how he invested over ₦60 million in a real estate scheme in 2021, believing it was the right move for his future. At the time, he had only recently moved from earning between ₦25,000 and ₦40,000 monthly to making serious money from YouTube. The investment opportunity came from a company tied to Property Matchmakers, with Beechwood Estate as the hook. They promised him a 30 per cent return after 12 months, with land as collateral.

He received a deed of assignment, but he never involved a lawyer. He said he trusted the company, they even prayed together before the deal.

He didn't immediately demand his returns because he was still busy working. By 2023 and 2024, he became interested in developing the land that was supposed to be his collateral. But the company kept asking him to wait, citing survey approvals and the coastal road project.

By 2025, he became suspicious and demanded either his property or his money back. The company allegedly offered to refund him, but with a 15 per cent penalty deducted, despite the promised 30 per cent ROI.
He eventually accepted the refund because he didn't have the energy for a long legal battle. But then the company sent him an instalment payment plan, still applying the 15 per cent deduction. The comedian lamented that ₦60 million could have bought a good house in 2021 but is worth so much less today. He also expressed shock that the company is still selling properties in Lekki Phase One while he struggles to recover his investment.

But here is what the blogs did not tell you.

The real reason Brain Jotter is speaking out now is not to get his money back or to shame the company. It is because he is planning to turn the entire experience into a comedy special called ‘’Refund or Return’’, a one-man show about how he went from "Zazu" levels of wealth to chasing a refund in 2025. He has been writing material for months, and he realised that if he shares the story publicly, he can sell tickets to the very people who might have been scammed by similar companies.
Edgar doesn't lie.
