Annie Idibia Said "Abeg Rest," But The Internet Said "Let Me Cook"

In other news, Annie Idibia woke up on Monday morning, scrolled through her timeline, and immediately regretted having eyes.

Old videos of her and 2Face dancing in a club were everywhere. People were typing essays about reconciliation. Some were even claiming she was pregnant with baby number three. The internet had already written the fanfiction and published it without her permission.
( laughs like 2baba)
So she did what any sane person would do. She killed the rumours with four words on Instagram Stories: "Old videos circulating everywhere, false news everywhere".

The rumour mill went into overdrive last Friday when an old clip of the former couple vibing at a nightclub resurfaced. Suddenly, everyone was a relationship expert. The streets were saying Annie and 2Face were back together. The blogs were running with it. Some people even claimed 2Face had left his new wife, Natasha Osawaru, for Annie. The drama was so thick you could cut it with a knife.
( laughing like Dj Chicken)
But here is what the blogs did not tell you.
The video that started all this chaos? It is from 2023. Yes, 2023. Before the divorce. Before Natasha. Before 2Face dedicated a baby with his new wife in church. The same people sharing that clip probably also believe that "Zehn Zehn" is a Grammy-winning anthem.
Meanwhile, 2Face has moved on. He married Natasha Osawaru, an Edo State lawmaker, and they even welcomed a child together in November 2025 . The man is now a father again. Annie is out here living her life. But the internet refuses to accept that some stories do not have a sequel.
(Sucks teeth like Patience Ozokwo hearing people still shipping a marriage that ended 18 months ago)
The real tea is not about Annie or 2Face or Natasha. It is that Nigerians will see a six-second clip and build a whole Netflix series around it. No context. No dates. Just vibes and assumptions. Meanwhile, Annie is probably somewhere laughing at all of us while we debate her love life like it is a presidential election.
Edgar doesn't lie.

I told you about Portable claiming nobody can win a Grammy without featuring him. Read here: The Grammy Gatekeeper Nobody Asked For. At least that delusion was original. This one is recycled content.
