In other news, Rexxie has officially turned a compliment into a full-scale comparison, and the internet is not okay.
The music producer recently took to Twitter to praise Olamide for picking up new creative hobbies, writing:
"Big respect to Olamide Baddo. While many inspire us with cars and luxury, Baddo is showing us another side of success: learning the sax, painting. Life isn't just about acquiring things; it's about discovering yourself and becoming better. We're not getting any younger."
(claps hands like Davido)
The post came shortly after Olamide unveiled his art brand. But Rexxie did not stop there. Sources say he later told a group of friends that Burna Boy and Davido have no backup plan for life after music, unlike Olamide who is building skills outside of the industry. He reportedly said:
"When the music stops, what else do they have? Olamide can paint. He can play sax. What can they do?"
(nods head like Portable)
The producer had earlier dismissed the narrative that he was throwing shade, clarifying,
"Una dey find sub where there's none. Nothing against anybody buying cars or enjoying their success. Everybody's journey is different."
But his latest comments have reignited the debate.
Rexxie has been trying to learn the saxophone himself for six months and has not told anyone because he is still terrible at it. Sources say he has been taking lessons in secret and was inspired to praise Olamide because he wanted to feel better about his own progress. He is not subtweeting anyone, he is projecting.
