According to Regha, VDM was silent about the Adeleke family's spending habits when Davido reportedly lodged him in an expensive hotel and invited him to his lavish wedding, but suddenly became concerned about money laundering after their relationship soured.

"So, VDM didn't know about the Adelekes when Davido reportedly lodged him in an expensive hotel, where he also ate a plate of rice costing over ₦12,000 and was happy to talk about it? He didn't know the Adelekes spent recklessly when he joyfully attended Davido's lavish wedding, which was attended by some APC faithfuls and even the governor of Osun State? He didn't know all these things about Davido when he was riding on their fame?"
Regha wrote.
He also pointed to other instances he believes contradict VDM's current position, including his criticism of Don Jazzy before praising him after a ₦100 million donation to his NGO, and his criticism of Victor Osimhen before accepting a free flight to Turkey to celebrate the footballer.
''He seems to choose whichever side is most convenient and beneficial to his NGO."

VDM responded by reading out old tweets where Davido said he could never support the APC, accusing the singer of using his fans while knowing his uncle was aligned with the ruling party.
VDM has reportedly challenged Daniel Regha to a boxing match. Sources say the activist posted a video calling Regha out and demanding they settle their differences in the ring. Regha has not responded to the challenge, but his friends say he has been practising his jabs in his living room. The fight has not been confirmed, but boxing promoters have reportedly reached out to both parties.
