"Who Is Carter Efe?" Speed Darlington Asked, Then Answered His Own Question

In other news, Speed Darlington brushed off Carter Efe’s US visa denial as "just a streamer problem," definitely not because he’s still bitter Carter beat Portable in the ring. Because nothing heals old boxing trauma quite like pretending Africa’s biggest streamer doesn't exist.

In other news, Speed Darlington woke up and decided that Carter Efe's visa troubles were not his problem. And he made sure everyone knew it.

The rapper reacted to reports that Carter Efe was allegedly denied a US visa, and his response was as cold as the embassy's rejection letter. "Who is Carterefe? If they deny his American visa, it's not a big deal; he is just a streamer. He is not even an artist, so it's not a big deal," he said in a video that has since gone viral.

(slurps coffee like Tonto Dikeh)

He then compared the situation to that of an Ethiopian referee who reportedly missed the World Cup after being denied a visa. According to Speed Darlington, that was a big deal. Carter Efe? Not so much.

"He should stop disturbing us online," he added, because apparently, the man does not have time for streamer problems.

Carter Efe recently secured a place in Kai Cenat's Streamer University, a US-based programme created for emerging digital creators. His reported visa setback has raised uncertainty over whether he will be able to attend the programme as scheduled. Kai Cenat even personally tried to help him secure the visa, providing an official support letter for the embassy interview. But Nigeria disappointed him, as Carter Efe himself put it.

The streamer has since expressed frustration, saying he feels "trapped in this country" and cannot go anywhere he wants. Davido even weighed in, encouraging him to remain optimistic.

(shakes head like Kie Kie, hearing someone say "we're finished, we're doomed" about a visa application)

But here is what the blogs did not tell you.

Speed Darlington's dismissal of Carter Efe is not just about the visa. Sources close to the rapper have leaked that he is still bitter about Carter Efe's celebrity boxing victory over Portable. The streamer dethroned Portable as celebrity boxing champion back in May, and Speed Darlington has been throwing shade ever since. The man has not forgotten that Carter Efe's victory made Portable look bad, and by extension, made Speed Darlington's own loss to Portable look worse.

Meanwhile, Carter Efe has been named the biggest Nigerian livestreamer in 2026, with over 560,000 followers on Twitch. The man is literally the most-followed Africa-based Twitch streamer. And Speed Darlington is out here asking "who is he?" like he has been living under a rock.

(sucks teeth like DJ Cuppy, hearing a man pretend not to know someone who is clearly more famous than him)

The real tea is not about the visa or the comparison to the Ethiopian referee. It is that Speed Darlington is still fighting a battle he lost months ago. Carter Efe is out here being the biggest streamer in Africa, and Speed Darlington is out here being bitter about it. In 2026, that is the kind of energy nobody asked for.

Edgar doesn't lie.

I told you about Sydney Talker revealing four years of celibacy in a keynote address. Read here: Four Years No Bed? Sydney Talker Said, "God Did." At least his announcement was about himself. This one is just Speed Darlington being petty. Don’t leave just like that. Listen to my podcast. Why Am I Still Single? Available right here on checkedgar.com.
