In other news, the African Action Congress has officially written to President Bola Tinubu with a request that has the internet doing a double-take, and the President has responded with a counter-demand that nobody saw coming.
The party also requested food, drinks, and other logistical support for participants, citing similar arrangements reportedly extended to the All Progressives Congress.

In a letter dated October 21, 2026, and signed by its National Secretary, Oshiokhai Ikpeminioghena, the AAC requested approval to hold the event on November 11, 2026. The letter was titled "Request for Approval to Hold the Inauguration of the AAC Presidential Campaign Council at the Presidential Villa and for Logistical Support."
"On behalf of the African Action Congress, I respectfully write to request approval to hold the inauguration ceremony of our Presidential Campaign Council on the 11th of November 2026 at the Presidential Villa, Aso Rock, Abuja, in preparation for the 2027 general elections."
The letter read.
On the request for logistical support, the party stated;
"In the spirit of multiparty democracy, political inclusiveness, and equal treatment of political parties, we also request the provision of food, drinks, and other logistical support for participants at the event, consistent with the arrangements reportedly extended to the All Progressives Congress for a similar political engagement."
The AAC added;
"We believe that granting this request would demonstrate the Presidency's commitment to fairness, equal access, and the principle that public institutions must serve all Nigerians without partisan discrimination."
The party said it looked forward to a favourable response and requested information on the procedures and conditions for approval.

President Tinubu has reportedly approved the request but asked for a Flying Tesla Roadster in exchange. Sources say the President told his aides, "If they want to use Aso Rock, they must bring the flying car. I have been waiting for that car since 2024." The AAC has not responded to the counter-demand, but sources say Sowore has been checking Tesla's website since Monday. The flying Tesla Roadster, which Elon Musk promised years ago, has not been released yet.
