In other news, you know how they say love is patient, love is kind? Well, apparently, love also has a data limit, and Oluwadolarz’s estranged fiancé, Ife Luv just hit hers. One minute, we were watching cute couple content and public proposals, and years later, we're ears-deep in premium breakup series with receipts, bathroom hide-and-seek, and a guest appearance from Mama Dolarz and another light appearance by Solomon Buchi, aka President of the New Generation. (We will get to the reason for his nickname later.)
If this relationship had a trailer, it would be tagged “Suspense | Thriller | Financial Irresponsibility | Betrayal | Parental Intervention.” Because, whew! The tea is boiling!
Let's unpack the drama, shall we?

Once upon a time -okay, in 2020 precisely - Nigerian comedian and content creator Oluwadolarz and Ife Luv welcomed their son, Nifemi, into the world. And just like that, social media turned them into couple goals.
Fast forward to 2023, and Oluwadolarz had his first public “I messed up” moment, apologising for taking Ife Luv for granted. Of course, we all know how Instagram apologies go: well-worded, heavy on emotions, and sometimes light on actual change.
And then, in November 2024, Oluwadolarz popped the question in a Lagos nightclub (because, I mean, nothing says lifelong commitment like a proposal surrounded by Seyi Vibes’ ‘Different Pattern’ blasting on the speakers while having overpriced cocktails). The internet went all “awwwn, so this is love?” and for a brief moment, it seemed like the love story was right on track.
Spoiler alert: it wasn't!
March 2025 marched on with heartbreak, plot twists, and hidden houseguests.
Ife Luv took to Instagram with a revelation (that I think most people didn't find surprising): Oluwadolarz had been cheating! And from what we heard, he's not really the selective type. As far as you're on a skirt, you're a perfect fit. And among the Lucky Skirted Ones is his own actress, Lola.
Imagine walking into your fiancé's house to pick up your child, only to find his Skirted chick hiding in the bathroom like some student caught in the act. Well, I'm guessing you imagined that as a skit, but that was Ife Luv’s real-time experience, according to her.
She added that neighbours (preferably those who call her our wife) confirmed that Lola has been living there, and there were even rumours of a multiplication table for abortion.
But wait! There's more!

Ife Luv also revealed that throughout their relationship, she had been financially carrying the weight of their child because Oluwadolarz's finances were as stable as NEPA light during a thunderstorm.
Here, drink, please. I know you need water.
Can I continue now?
Okay.
Now, I don't suppose you think this was just a two-player game, because I remember I mentioned some guest appearances. Hence, at this point enters Mama Dolarz.
Like almost every seasoned Nigerian mother, she wasn't about to let her son's name get dragged without any intervention. One fateful day, while I was scrolling through TikTok, watching users battle in the ‘Roar and Dress Like a Lion’ challenge, I stumbled upon a TikTok live session. I saw Mama Dolarz kneel-yes, kneel-to beg Ife Luv to reconsider. Because in the Nigerian mother's manual, “Men will stain your white” is just a minor inconvenience, not a deal-breaker.
Now, while others praised her for taking responsibility, others felt she was using her old-generation mentality to guilt-trip Ife Luv into staying; this was according to the president of the New Generation, Solomon Buchi. And there goes his light feature in this thriller series.
Moving on!

After days of observing Silencia Magnimium (or whatever the Catholics call it, please), Oluwadolarz finally addressed the room. If you were expecting another public apology or some explanation with evidence, then I'm sorry because Big Dolarz disappointed you.
Instead, he came in with the ‘everybody hates me’ classic. In an Instagram story, he lamented how the people he loved abandoned him.
DJ, kindly cue in the Asa’s Bibanke and a tiny violin to accompany it. Lol.
But, on the other hand, Ife Luv came back in with Ozeba! She fired back, dragging financially reckless men who prioritize flexing over family, warning that their poor choices will soon come back to haunt them.
And if you're thinking Ife won this round, wait till you hear Dolarz’s comeback.
Oluwadolarz hit back with a claim nobody saw coming - he was pressured into proposing!
Did someone say the Preshur is getting worse?
According to Big Skirt - my bad, Big Dolarz - Ife Luv pestered him every day to pop the question.
So y'all are now going around with rings and proposing out of peer pressure? Or better still in this case, Ife Pressure?
Just when we thought it was only Mr. Nigeria that fell for cheap pressure scandals, Oluwadolarz is confirming he's been part of one.
Anyways, both of them have been going at each other like cat and mouse till date, and at this point I can tell you that this entire saga feels like one long, chaotic Instagram series that none of us asked to be part of. What started as a cute love story has now turned into a full-blown courtroom drama - with social media serving as the judge, jury and executioner.
But let's be real - give it a few weeks, and another scandal will take center stage. Oluwadolarz will keep making skits, Ife Luv will keep influencing, and someone else will give you new relationship/engagement content for you to comment, “God when?” on, only for us to see them airing dirty laundry online six months later.
Now let's talk about the moral of the story. Yes, morals. So you won't say I'm just giving you empty gist without lessons to learn from.
Moral story: Love is sweet, but make sure your WiFi is off when things go south, because the internet and the online in-laws that invade it never forget.
You know when I said in a few weeks everything will get back to normal, you'll keep looking for the next story to talk about, while I keep looking for the next drama to curate a story for you.
With that, I'll see you in Other News!
