According to him, when his breakthrough song "Zoom" came out and he got signed to Penthauze Records, he realised he would be doing interviews and appearing in front of cameras. As a perfectionist, he tried to fix his skin, but the product made things worse.

But he pushed through the insecurity, found his way back to confidence, and kept chasing his dream. Today, the same face he once struggled to accept is attached to a successful music career. The experience even inspired his hit song "History" featuring Fireboy DML.

The real reason Cheque is talking about his acne struggle again is not because he wants to inspire his fans. It is because he recently approached a girl he likes, and she rejected him, saying she "can't date someone with that face." The rejection stung so badly that he immediately started researching face surgeons in Turkey. He has already booked a consultation for next week and is planning to fix his skin once and for all, not for the cameras, but for the girl who said no.
