10 Million for Love, But If It Shakes, Oya Refund

In other news, Peller visited Cubana Chief Priest with wedding invitations and left with ₦10 million, plus a legal clause: "If the marriage shakes, refund my money!" Turning a wedding gift into a money-back guarantee investment might just be the most Nigerian move of the year.

In other news, Peller went to see Cubana Chief Priest with his wedding invitation and aso ebi in hand. He probably expected a prayer, a handshake, and maybe a bottle of something expensive.

( laughing like Geh Geh)

What he got was ₦10 million.

Yes, ₦10 million. With conditions.

Peller, whose August 1 wedding to Jarvis is already one of the most anticipated events of the year, visited the celebrity barman at his residence to formally deliver the invitation and the official aso ebi, which costs ₦700,000 for eight yards, with about 400 guests expected to wear it. That is roughly ₦280 million in aso ebi sales alone, but who is counting?

( holds head like Carter Efe)

When Chief Priest asked Peller what he wanted, the TikTok star probably mumbled something about prayers and moral support. Instead, the socialite dropped a ₦10 million bomb that left Peller in tears.

But he did not stop at the money. Chief Priest leaned in and delivered the finest terms and conditions ever attached to a wedding gift:

"I will give you 10 million... If the wedding shake, you go refund me my money."

( nods in agreement like Iyabo Ojo)

Chief Priest said it with a straight face. Peller, wiping his tears, quickly guaranteed him it would not happen. The man is not taking any risks. He revealed he has supported several weddings in the past, only to watch those marriages collapse shortly after. This time, he is protecting his investment.

But here is what the blogs did not tell you.

Sources close to Chief Priest have leaked that the ₦10 million is actually a test. The man has a theory, if a couple cannot stay married after receiving that kind of money, then the marriage was never going to work in the first place. He calls it the "Chief Priest Marriage Stress Test." And Peller just signed up for it.

Chief Priest even posted about it on Instagram, writing: "My Boy @peller089 Is Getting Married. I'm so excited for him because the Bible says he who finds a wife finds a good thing... I go soon turn Granpa". Wait, grandpa? The man is already planning the next generation. Peller has not even said "I do" and Chief Priest is already mentally booking a seat at the naming ceremony.

Meanwhile, Peller has been running around Lagos with his ₦700,000 aso ebi, personally delivering invitations to everyone who matters, including Priscilla Ojo and Juma Jux. The stress of planning is real, but with ₦10 million in the bank, he is probably sleeping a little better at night.

The sweetest part is not about the money or the terms. It is that Cubana Chief Priest just turned a wedding gift into a business transaction. And honestly? That is the most Nigerian thing we have seen all week. Because in this economy, nobody is giving away ₦10 million without a guarantee.

Edgar doesn't lie.

Sources: Chief Priest's housekeeper, Mr Edwin Moore, who plans to force his way into the wedding hall.
